Minutes North of the Horse Park is Black Shoals Park, a
650 acres reservoir and recreational facility, featuring the Walk of Heroes Veterans War Memorial. Reflect on the sacrifices of veterans and their families involved in 20th century wars to current deployments. South of Exit 82, The Monastery of the Holy Spirit is a beautiful and tranquil backdrop for Cistercian monks who have made their home in Conyers for over sixty-eight years. Experience the new $6.5 million Monastic Heritage Center, a 17,000 square foot innovative complex featuring Visitors Center, Museum, Bonsai Garden, Abbey Store, and Café. Close by, visit Panola Mountain State Park, Georgia’s First Conservation Park.
